Clements Hall

Description:

Clements Hall hosts regular classes and courses, as well as one-off events, performances, projects, training sessions, conferences, meetings, workshops, and private functions like birthday parties and wedding receptions. There are 3 rooms for hire and they cost between £12 and £35 per hour depending on the type of activity and individual/organisational status: see website for more details.

Description:

In the Father’s Hand enables people with learning disabilities to participate with others in exploring what God means to them. The group is part of Causeway Prospects, a national charity who have been working in this field for thirty years to affirm the value and worth of ‘very special people’.

Lidgett Grove Community Cafe

Description:

The Community Café runs every Wednesday 9.30-11.30am and is a place for people of all ages to get together, meet up with friends and make new ones. Join us for tasty treats, have a cuppa and read the paper, or get involved with the craft or knitting tables. Baby area and song time too! We serve hot and cold drinks, bacon rolls, toast, teacakes and delicious home-made cakes. We’re regularly joined by organisations such as the Community Policing Team, CYC Housing Team, Healthwatch York and Timebank. They are available for information and advice, and private space is available if necessary. Why not come down to see what its all about for yourself? Everyone Welcome

St Luke's Church

Description:

Run by two volunteer ladies, St Luke's Parent and Toddler Drop-In costs £1 per family each session. St Luke's Parent and Toddler Drop-In only runs in term time.

Wellbeing Cafe

Description:

For people living with dementia their carers, family and friends. We have a number of activities available such as games, items to promote conversation and art and crafts etc. Or simply come and talk to others in a similar situation. A Dementia Support Advisor is always on hand to offer support and advice. Come and enjoy a cup of tea, coffee and a biscuit or two!

Your Cafe

Description:

As part of The Real Junk Food Project, yourcafe serves healthy meals prepared from intercepted good surplus food in a regular volunteer-led and non-profit community cafe. ​ We happily cater for all tastes, including vegan, vegetarian, and of course those with a sweet tooth!
